In falconry, a lord would use a magnificent bird-of-prey,
the falcon, to kill another bird or other small game. A falcon is a fiercely
intelligent bird that is trained by the lord's falconer. Archaeologists have
found evidence of falconry in the Middle East dating back to the 1st century
BC. Historically, falconry was a popular sport, and status symbol, among the
nobles of Medieval Europe and feudal
Japan; in Japan it is called takagari. Falconry remained a status symbol long
after falconry was no longer popularly practiced.
Available with wolf or dragon heads on the lid.
Our Huntsman's Sporrans are
6 inches (150 mm) tall and 8 inches (200 mm) wide, and have an expandable interior
depth of approximately 1.5 inches (38 mm). They can easily fit on any
belt 3 inches wide or smaller.
