The Triskele is a common symbol used in ancient Celtic design and is especially associated with the Isle of Man where the ancient College of Druids was centered. The emphasis is on the numeral three which for the Celts symbolized the principles of creation, preservation and destruction embodied also as the triple goddess, maiden, mother and crone, and the phases of the moon. Our Jewelled Triskele Pendant comes in sterling silver and is available with a silver chain, but can also be purchased by itself. The Triskele can be set with either amber or garnet. The chain is 20 inches long and 4mm (.16 inch) thick, and hooks in the back with a modern clasp. The pendant itself is 1 inch (25mm) wide by 1 3/8 inch (35mm) tall. |
